Explore the Mighty Bagger 288 – The World’s Largest Excavator!

Join us on our excursion to witness the engineering marvel that is the Bagger 288. Known as the largest land vehicle on Earth, this colossal bucket-wheel excavator stands as a testament to human ingenuity and industrial power. Built for open-pit mining, it weighs 13,500 tons and can move 240,000 cubic meters of earth daily – enough to fill an entire football field!

During this tour, we'll be driving around the dig site in and get up close to the machine, learn fascinating facts about its construction and operation, and experience the sheer scale of this mechanical giant. Don't miss your chance to explore one of the world's most impressive engineering feats!

The costs for the excursion will be around €25 per person, the definitive price is dependent on the number of signups and will be published later.

The schedule is not definitive yet, but it will likely look the following:

• 05:00 - Deprature from the achterhorst

• 09:00 - Arrival at the bagger 288, begin tour

• 12:00 - End of tour, departure back home

• 16:00 - Arrival back at the achterhorst

We have a maximum capacity of 26 students, if this number is exceeded a raffle will be held on januari 5th at 17:00 to determine the participants
