Bilfinger Tebodin is a company that delivers engineering consultancy to companies specialized in production of bulk fluids, gas, and solid substances. Bilfinger Tebodin has multiple locations throughout the Netherlands, this internship was performed at their office in Hengelo at the department of Mechanical Engineering. The topic of the internship assignment was the redesign of the layout of a production facility that produces tanning agents for the leather industry. The objective of the assignment was to obtain new insights into the design and which design choices are different from the old design. The final design shows a basic design in which the equipment and product flows become clear.
