I did my internship at PCV group. PCV Group is an engineering company located in the city centre of Enschede. PCV is specialised in dosing and dispensing technology, mechatronics and embedded systems. They work on a project basis for numerous national and international companies. The duration of these projects ranges from just a few months to multiple years. Next to that, the point in the design process varies from project to project. While the focus is mainly on conceptual and initial designs, PCV also does end to end projects, where all engineering from conceptual design to manufacturing is done.

During my internship, I worked on several different projects. Some of these were internal projects, like designing a weighing scale that is able to log data, which is used in the workshop at PCV. Further, I also assisted in some projects for customers. I really enjoyed this because the work I did was actually used to design consumer products.

The working environment at PCV is really great. While everyone works quite hard, they still manage to keep the atmosphere really relaxed. Also, everyone was really approachable and always ready to help whenever you had a question.
