TenneT
During my internship at TenneT TSO B.V., I had the opportunity to work on developing the Engineering Resources Management Model (EngRMM). The assignment involved developing a user-friendly planning tool using VBA programming environment to optimize engineering resource management and improve planning processes within the organization.
Throughout the internship, I was fully immersed in the world of energy transition and engineering resource optimization. I collaborated closely with professionals from different departments, gaining invaluable insights into TenneT's role in driving the energy transition and ensuring a reliable transmission network. This experience allowed me to witness the organization's commitment to sustainable energy technologies and its aim to innovatively approach the Dutch and European targets.
Working on the EngRMM acquired me better programming skills, specifically in VBA, which enabled me to create a model that automated tasks, facilitated planning analysis, and optimized resource allocation. I had the opportunity to interact with stakeholders, gather requirements, and ensure the model aligned with the organization's planning processes. This hands-on experience deepened my technical expertise and broadened my understanding of engineering resource management and the energy sector. Beyond technical skills, this internship also provided me with valuable personal experiences where I had the chance to enhance my soft skills. I refined my communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling me to effectively convey complex ideas and build rapport with colleagues and stakeholders.
Overall, this EngRMM internship at TenneT TSO B.V. has been a transformative and enriching experience. It has allowed me to combine my passion for sustainable energy with my programming skills, providing me with a unique opportunity to contribute to the energy transition. I am grateful for the support and guidance provided by the professionals at TenneT and the University of Twente.
