This month's excursion we will be visiting HoSt Group:

For the HoSt Group excursion, we will visit our combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Bemmel and conclude with a lunch and presentation.

Commissioned in 2021, this 15 MWth CHP plant achieved an impressive 14 months of continuous operation without maintenance stops in 2023.

This high-tech renewable energy plant converts local low-grade wood chips, shavings, sawdust from the timber industry, and agricultural residues from the food and beverage industry. This multi-fuel plant is robust enough to process a wide variety of moisture and ash contents as well as material sizes up to 40 cm into renewable heat and electricity. With exceptionally high efficiency and ultra-low emissions, this operational performance is a prime example of the power of a reliable and sustainable energy source.

The planning for the day will be as follows:

10.15 h. Check in Bio-energie Next Garden B.V. (Azalealaan 11b, 6681 RH Bemmel)
10.30 h. Safety instructions Bemmel + start excursion
12.00 h. Departure to ‘Wapen van Bemmel’ (Dorpsstraat 52, 6681 BP Huissen)
12.15 h. Start lunch + presentation HoSt Group
14.00 h. End of the program
15.30 h. Back at the Horst
