ASML
During my 2nd year at Master's, I carried out my internship at ASML, in the Veldhoven campus, for 15 weeks as a mechanical analysis, and dynamics intern. During my internship, I had one main supervisor from my group and mentors from other groups. The mentors I had were expert people in their area of work and were very open people. In the meetings, I always felt that my opinions were valued, and if we came to a common point together, they did not hesitate to work on my idea. When we had a problem together and did not manage to solve it, we also did not hesitate to contact people who had more experience with the problem we faced. By doing so, I can say that the working environment in the ASML is very dynamic and very open to self-development and new ideas from different backgrounds. Also, near to end of my internship, my supervisors thought that the work I had done was valuable and could be presented in a conference. To do that, they told me they would take the required actions and support me, which I value too much.
At the end of my internship, I had contact with the people responsible for the project I worked on. People I talked to asked me what could be done further about my work, and I listed what my opinions were. They told me that my guidance on that one was very valuable and precise. Even after my work, they told me that they would open an assignment on my further investigation with my point.
In terms of the working environment, I believe that the Veldhoven campus is located in a very reachable location. Also, the facilities on the campus are very varied and one can find a hobby or a person that s/he wants to reach via a communication portal easily.
