Lesscher installatie en Jonkman Coating

Jonkman Coating is building a new production line and wants to try and optimise energy efficiency. This report consists of an analysis of the new production line in terms of energy efficiency. How much heat is available, how this heat is captured and upgraded. First assumptions are made on the natural convection and heat loss due to the opening of oven doors and mechanical friction. A total of 400 kW of heat dissipates from the system. Furthermore, concepts are created to capture and upgrade this heat for reuse. The results of these concepts are that the concept which uses proven technology has the lowest investment and the best ROI. The second and third concepts were more difficult to predict the ROI of and were also less practical to implement. The practical implementation of the concept is the next step in this assignment but is outside the scope of this internship. The image below shows the production facility.
