Teqram Zwolle

I completed my internship at Teqram in Zwolle, a scale-up specializing in using vision-guided robotics for industrial automation. The assignment was to develop an actuation mechanism for a size-adjustable magnetic gripper and integrate this within the software architecture of Teqram. Throughout the internship, prototypes were designed in SolidWorks and subsequently produced. After testing an initial prototype, redesigns were made, and new prototypes were put into production. On the software side, the complete functionality of the gripper had to be implemented. This includes allowing the robot to communicate with other applications in a production cell, and automatically pick up parts that are identified using computer vision. Overall, I would say the internship was a great learning experience, and I enjoyed the multi-faceted nature of the assignment. What I also enjoyed is that the work you do really ends up being put into production and is useful for the company.
