This week, Mechdes will host a lunch lecture! After requests from some members, we will have a new type of lunch!
As engineers working on challenging projects at MechDes Engineering B.V. we have to deliver working machines, often one-offs that need to function the first time right. One of the challenges is to do this in a time and resource efficient manner, while ensuring high safety levels. For the JLS project on the Pioneering Spirit for Allseas this resulted in a low-cycle fatigue approach, to keep the components within the design space. During this session you will learn from the Lead Engineer of this project, how this is done for one of the world’s largest heavy lift trunnions.
