Batenburg Instalatietechniek is a division of the Company Batenburg that provides design, installation, and maintenance for technical installations in different markets. Batenburg Installatietechniek focuses mainly on energy transition, sustainable property, and security systems, including installing electrical sustainable operations for building systems and developing energy-efficient solutions. One of the ambitions of Batenburg Installatietechniek is to innovate and be sustainable.

During my internship, I worked for Batenburg to assist them in sorting out the analysis and processing of the new CSRD directive for presenting emissions values for the new upcoming directive. An image for their emission profile is created and advice is given on how to deal with this new directive. Furthermore, a model is made to calculate the emissions for this CSRD directive and emissions for Batenburg Installatietechniek projects. One of the projects I applied this model was the electrification of the HTM buses in The Hague. Batenburg will work on the charging hubs for HTM by designing and realizing the transition of the bus depot to an electric charging hub for the buses.

I had a pleasant working experience during my internship at Batenburg Installatietechniek. The working environment was nice, and every colleague was willing to help with tasks and give advice. I learned a lot during my time at Batenburg. Batenburg Installatietechniek offers more internship opportunities regarding energy transition.
