This month an excursion to HoSt will take place! They are the biggest supplier of biomass energy systems in the Netherlands and one of the biggest in Europe. HoSt develops multiple bioenergy systems, ranging from biomass and waste-fired combustion plants to biogas installations for sewage sludge, food processing industry and agricultural waste and manure. Furthermore, HoSt develops biogas upgrading facilities to improve bio-methane yields out of their biogas solutions. 

During the excursion, a presentation with general information about the company will be given at the office in Enschede, where we can enjoy some lunch. After that, we will visit a biomass power plant built by HoSt in Bemmel and get a tour of the facility. We will gather at 12:30 behind the Horst (‘Veld Achterhorst’ on google maps) and expect to be back at 18:00.
