Corona Batavierenrace

Corona Batavierenrace

Last weekend we ran the Batavierenrace again. The Batavierenrace is a running competition that starts in Nijmegen and ends in Enschede; you can join with a team of 25 people and all run a part of the track. This year, despite the lockdown, the race still continued, but in a different way: everyone had to run on their own or in pairs and could choose their own route. You could run between Thursday and Saturday.

With Newton, we teamed up with 19 members to take on the challenge of running 125 kilometers. To prepare us for the run, we made goodie bags with food and a drink. It also had a medal and a beer for when one finished the run. The run went well for all participants and we ran a bit more than 11 km/h on average! This led us to ending up on the 79th place out of the 191 participants, and we're pretty proud of that :).
