Vacation is coming!
With just a few days left before the break really starts for all mechanical engineering students, what is happening at Newton? Despite the fact that most students have already left Enschede, instead choosing to spend time with family or going on vacations, the Newtonroom is still busy as always! You definitely don’t have to stand in line for coffee anymore, which admittedly is a nice change, there are enough people roaming around to talk to! Next to this, the board is also still here, preparing for the Kick-in, the Dies and working on some policy points. Specifically, a lot of the Dies activities are quickly taking more shape, as scripts are written, budgets are finished and sponsors are acquired. You might’ve already seen the Dies posters, or events on the website, and we hope you’re just as exited about it as us! Next to this, there are quite a few things the board wants to work on but normally does not have the time for; these are the things we work on now. It can be everything from changing our financing software, which involves a lot of manual data transfer, to working on sustainability or working on our new Customer Relationship Management software. Next to this, a lot of preparation for next year is taking place; Matthijs is hard at work recording ‘Behind the scenes’ videos of all board members, to further show our day-to-day affairs. Still, most of us are longing for vacation at last!
