Newton after its Lustrum month

What happened in the Newton Lustrum month?

After a month full of activities, Lustrum Radio, merch, and prize contests, the lustrum month has come to an end. All the activities are captured and can be looked back at on our website. It was an absolute blast to have more than 300 participants during the Lustrum. However, the board didn’t sit still during the lustrum. Because we have added a new feature on the Newton website, namely the FAQ! On this page your most common questions are answered. For example: How do I become a committee member? Or how can I turn on direct debit? Etc.  If your answer can not be answered in the FAQ, then we are always happy to help you to answer any questions in the Newton room!

Upcoming big activities:

Because of the Lustrum we had to postpone some of the big activities to later in the year. So for simplicity, we listed them below!

• First of all, the annual Cantus. As this is the Lustrum Cantus, we made sure that there is space for 120 people. The senate consists of old board members, that prepared the best Cantus of your life for you! There are still spots left! The Cantus will take place in the Stall on the 21st of November.
• The week afterwards the Symposium committee has set up the ‘Fortify Symposium’. In this symposium 5 lectures will be given, there is a company market and case studies! All the companies make different parts or build/design systems for Defensie. Will During the day, free coffee, lunch and a goodie bag is offered.Be there on the 25th of November and meet the future of the defence industry.
• On the 10th of December the Basement project will host the largest Techno/Drum and Base party of Enschede! The previous year’s edition was an absolute success, and this year it will be even better! The party will start at 22:00 and last until 03:00 in Horst basement!
• Can you hear the jingle bells already ringing? Christmas is coming up and Newton has its annual Christmas Dinner. With a lot of wine, laughter and great food. The event takes place in the Horst Canteen and will start at 18:00.
• Taking a long leap forward, to the 5th of February. The Newton COBO is nearly happening! This will mark the beginning of the 69th board board year at W.S.G. Isaac Newton. You can enjoy copious amounts of free beer and congratulate the new board. Make sure to be there at 15:30 at Diepzat and Beneden Peil because it fills up quick!
• Lastly, after a year full of different Lustrum activities everything has to come to an end. But there isn’t a better way to close all activities than by a Gala. The gala committee organises the Lustrum Gala on the 13th of March! Make sure to put it in your agenda, the location has yet to be revealed!
